Gather your supplies! I just lucked out and happened to have coconut oil in the house. It's a great oil, yummy and very stable, good for cooking.

Set up your KitchenAid.

Soften your butter. Do not melt!

Cream the butter, coconut oil and sugars together.

If you don't have coconut oil, you could try using another stick of butter but I don't know how it will turn out, I've never tried that.

Add your milk and vanilla. If you don't like vanilla, you could use less.

Slushy. Ew.

Preheat your oven. I don't do this right away because I like it to beep at me right after I've finished scooping my dough onto my baking pans! (350 degrees).

Put your dry ingredients together and stir them.

Add them to your wet ingredients and mix well!

Not slushy! Creamy! Job well done, flour!

Scrape the sides of your bowl with a spatula and get ready to scoop!

Sorry for the blurry photo. Cookie scoopers are the best! Scoop them onto your baking sheets. I use foil b/c I'm lazy and don't like to clean but foil isn't always supposed to be used in baking.

And like magic, just after I finished scooping the oven beeped!

Filled 2 sheets, but only 2 rows of cookies on the second sheet. These cookies REALLY flatten out so smaller cookies well- spaced out is key if you don't want your cookies to stick together.

Unfortunately my oven cooks unevenly so I have to switch my racks halfway through or the bottoms/tops burn! I didn't set a timer, just checked them every 2 minutes while I cleaned. About 15 mins.

First sheet is done, second needs a few more minutes. See what I said about how much they flatten? I don't care, I'll eat them anyway, all stuck together!

2nd batch is done too! Make sure to turn your oven off! Don't burn your house down over some dessert food! Let them cool for 5-10 minutes then enjoy! They taste of coconut! Hope you like them!
